We are studying the introduction to the sermon on the mount commonly called the Beatitudes. The sermon will serve as a sort of constitution for His one-thousand year millennial kingdom as well as His present kingdom that is being set up in hearts of men and women who accept Him by faith for the salvation from the penalty of sin and eternal life. The Beatitudes are the attitudes Jesus calls those of His kingdom to develop in their daily life. Today we will see how Jesus calls us to have an attitude of mercy even toward those that have offended us.
