As We Finish—Growth Point—Josiah Kagin

Jude wrote to believers who were experiencing the pressure from within and without to compromise Christian doctrine. There is nothing new. God’s truth has always been questioned beginning in the Garden of Eden. However, throughout the Bible, God’s people have been reminded of their personal responsibility to cultivate their own relationship with God regardless of the pressures around us. (John 21:20–22, 2 Timothy 3:12–14, Jude 20–21) One of satan’s most devious tricks is to get us to focus horizontally rather than vertically. As we finish this year and enter the next, let us again be reminded that Jesus is the one is able to keep us and worthy of our adoration.
