Jonah was a God called prophet. One who God tasked with delivering truth to the wicked people of Nineveh. This was a very difficult assignment because the Ninevites were the enemies of God’s people. So rather than obeying God, Jonah ran from God. We often focus on Jonah’s disobedience at the beginning of the book and his bad attitude at the end of the book, however, tonight we will focus in the middle of the book. There we find a wonderful prayer that God heard! We should pause and consider how that God seized the attention of this wayward prophet and then mercifully heard and answered his prayer. Our God is still merciful and He still hears prayer!
