He Opens Doors – Acts – Josiah Kagin
Saul was a vehement enemy of Jesus Christ who vigorously persecuted those of “The Way.” He consented to the death of Stephen, the first martyr of the church. Jesus revealed Himself suddenly to Saul when he was on his way to arrest the Christ’s followers in Damascus. That day he believed on Christ and he was never the same! In fact, he changed his name to Paul. Jesus specifically sent him to the Gentiles as His witness. It is amazing to follow the life of Paul through the pages of Scripture. Beginning in Acts nine all the way to Acts eighteen, the triumphs of Christ are clearly seen in the life of Paul. Jesus changed him from a persecutor of the church to a preacher of Christ. Amazing! It was just thirteen years after believing on Christ that Paul boldly preached the Gospel in Corinth. It was a city known for its sinful practices, yet the open doors for the Gospel were many. Let’s learn all that we can from Paul’s life and ministry in the city of Corinth on his second missionary tour.
