Propelled by Persecution – Acts – Josiah Kagin

Paul, Silas, Timothy and Luke are in Philippi, a colony of Rome. It was a city gripped by paganism, Emperor worship and satanic possession. Being a Roman military outpost, Roman Nationalism was entrenched in the culture of the city. Anything that opposed that would be rejected. The vibrant, distinct, bold presence and witness of followers of Christ would naturally contradict such a culture. Paul and his teammates would face severe and even unlawful persecution, however, Jesus would continue to build His church within Philippi. This narrative contains a vivid and needed reminders for every believer here today!
